New 'Dexter' Season 7 Promo: The 'Beginning' Starts with a Bonfire

Caution: spoilers from "Dexter" season 6 follow!

When we last left Dexter and Deb, they were enjoying one of the more awkward sister walking in on her brother moments in history. Not only was Deb there to declare her love for Dexter (yeah, that kind of love), but when she arrived, she found Dex with a knife in Travis' chest.

A preview clip from Comic-Con showed us Deb's initial reaction, and Dexter's quick explanation (lie) to calm her down. It ends, though, with Deb calling Miami Metro to get the homocide division over to the crime scene, and Dexter rather agressively suggesting that she stop doing that.

This newest promo ends with a visual of the church burning, which suggests that Dex and Deb come to an understanding and decide to dispose of the evidence. It's a sloppy way to cover things up, but it makes sense that Dex can't do things the usual way... if he did, Deb would know that he was the Bay Harbor Butcher.
